Seema Shah is an Audiological Scientist currently running an independent practice in Nairobi. She is a Fellow of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists and holds a Masters degree in Audiological Science from the University College London.
She has worked extensively in India and in the UK, and has also helped set up non-profit hearing centres in Nairobi, Mombasa and Zanzibar and has trained healthworkers in Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania.
Seema’s philosophy is to create sustainable, effective hearing care providers and she spends much of her effort in building up local resources.
Seema is also passionate about the prevention of disability and is a Trustee of IMPACT Foundation and the Hearing Conservation Council. Seema is also on the Executive Committee of WWHearing, a project collaboration with World Health Organisation which aims to make hearing aid services in developing countries more accessible and affordable.
