Image of Padman RatnesarPadman Ratnesar graduated in Sri Lanka in 1960 and completed his post-graduate studies in the UK. He was a Consultant Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon from 1973 to 2003 and is now retired.

During his career, he established ENT services for Northern Newfoundland and Labrador between 1970 and 1975; he was part of the ‘Operation Raleigh’ Medical Team in Peru in 1985 and the ‘Hovercraft Expedition to China’ Medical Team in 1990. This expedition tested man and machine in navigating a hovercraft up the Yangtze River from the Szechuan Province to its source in Tibet.

He is a Founder Member of ‘Sound Hearing 2030’ and Vice Chairman of IMPACT Foundation UK.
